3/29 Sports Review: Final Four!!!!!!!

March 29th 2010 04:23
I bet you guys know why I am pumped up. Not only is it final four time, but the Green are in it without Lucas. Yup, Tom Izzo is really that good. They beat Bruce Pearl's tough Tennessee team 70-69 in an incredible game. Raymar Morgan hit a big free throw with less than two seconds left to break a 69-69 tie. The Spartans over came J.P. Prince's 12 points and 5 assists. Durrell Summers came up huge again with 21 points.

I thought you guys said Duke wasn't consistent enough? Well Coach K and the Blue Devils are the only number one seed to make it to the Final Four after beating Baylor 78-71. Ekpe Udoh had a monster game for Baylor with 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 18 points. However, Nolan Smith finally came up huge. He had a monstrous 29 points.

Milton Bradley is the Mariners' cleanup hitter. They hope he can play like he did in 2008. The San Francisco Giants gave extensions to superstar starter Matt Cain, superstar setup man Jeremy Affeldt, and superstar closer Brian Wilson. Nicely done. Ryan Dempster pitched seven innings for the Cubs and struck out 9 batters. Rookie Ian Desmond will start at shortstop for the Washington Nationals.

Vince Carter injured his toe, but former Blue Devil standout JJ Redick felt it in the air. It was a close 103-97 win for the Magic against the struggling Nuggs. Denver is hurting from the loss of George Karl. Hopefully he can come back and instill something into this team again. Carmelo Anthony had 26 points and 8 rebounds to keep it close. Redick totaled off 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Spurs routed the Celtics 94-73. Manu Ginobili keeps on leading the team as he had 28 points and 7 assists. Paul Pierce had 18 points and 5 assists. John Salmons and his Bucks beat the Grizz in overtime 108-103 after a huge rally. Zach Randolph had a huge 31 points and 15 rebounds. Rookie Brandon Jennings had a huge game with 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 29 points.

The Blazers tied the Thunder for the 6th seed in the west after a 92-87 win. Andre Miller came up huge with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Kevin Durant was good as always with 29 points and 13 rebounds. The Miami Heat rallied and beat the Raptors 97-94. Jarrett Jack had 18 points. Dwayne Wade scored 32 with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Phoenix Suns held up 111-105 to hand the Timberwolves their 16th consecutive loss which ties their club record. Kevin Love did have 23 points and 22 rebounds while Amare Stoudamire had 30 points and 17 rebounds.

There are a lot of candidates for MDA. I want to pick a coach. Tom Izzo has been incredible. He has led Michigan State to six final fours. This year was the most memorable as they did it without superstar Kalin Lucas. Here's to you Izzo.
