6/19 Roster Moves

First off, I would like to tell you that our blog has recently changed its layout. There are now widgets on the sidebar as well. Check them out, and help us out. Thanks to all those readers that got us over 100 yesterday. It means a lot to us. We also changed our name to Sports Gurus. Our website will still be www.sportgreat.com.
The Seattle Seahawks don't feel like giving Reggie Williams a second chance. The wide receiver was released. Williams was a former top 10 pick and Jaguar. Overall, I am really indifferent to the move. I bet that there are teams out there that need Reggie on the bench.
The big football moves today were made by O.J.'s favorites; the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens released safeties Brad Jones and Ashton Hall, DL John Fletcher, C Daniel Sanders, and CB Courtney Smith. Those were good cuts, but the great news was the star they signed. It was former Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin- one of my favorite players. I rate the moves overall as a solid A . Those are the moves that good teams make. The Ravens are a very good team.
Former starting linebacker Angelo Crowell was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trust me, the Bucs need to have all the depth they can. They are arguably the worst team in the NFL.
The Cleveland Browns released kicker Shane Suisham. I guessed they realized what the Washington Redskins used to feel. The Houston Texans released Michael Gaines, another move that I am indifferent about. Gaines could help out a team though.
Just because the Lakers won the finals, doesn't mean that the news in the NBA has stopped. Oh no, it is still picking up on storylines. Allen Iverson is going to play basketball next year. I love it. It is always great to see a legend like AI on the floor, even out of his prime.
The biggest news on the NBA mill was the Samuel Dalembert trade. He was always rumored in a trade for his large contract that the skimpy Sixers couldn't swallow. People unfairly criticize Dalembert, but I think he is a great defensive presence.
He is certainly better than what the Sixers got in return. I think Andres Nocioni is a terrible player. Spencer Hawes is pretty good. Dalembert is a B-, while Nocioni is a D and Hawes a C-. You could say it was fair, but I would rather have a guy averaging ten boards than a guy averaging 3 and another guy averaging 6. Yup, Hawes is the 6.
