Sport Great's NFL MVP through week 10- Adrian Peterson
November 16th 2008 00:06
Adrian Peterson is Sport Great's NFL MVP through week 10 of the NFL season. Last week, Peterson ran for 192 yards on 30 carries, with his final run being for 29 yards and the game winning touchdown. The important thing about that run, and the reason he is my MVP to this point of the season, is that he had fumbled on the previous drive on a fourth and one after he had lobbied his coach to go for the first down, but he did not feel sorry for himself. He got angry and put the team on his back and carried them to victory. The Vikings won the game on the strength of Peterson's performance, despite Quarterback Gus Frerotte throwing three interceptions. Peterson is leading the league in rushing with 1015 yards and a 4.9 yards per carry average. The Vikings are 5-4 and tied with Chicago for first place in the NFC North Division. There are several players having great years in the NFL, but none are as valuable to their teams as Adrian Peterson. Tune in to Sportgreat.com daily for sports articles. Also, next week Sport Great will pick his player of the week for week 11 of the NFL season.
