This is breaking news and I have gotten it in quicker than many top sports websites. This is insider stuff. Drew Brees is the Madden Cover guy. He had insane numbers last year- 4,388 passing yards, 109.6 QB rating, 70.6 completion percentage, 292.5 yards per game, and 34 touchdowns. Brees should have been the MVP.
I think the Madden Curse is a load of nonsense. Just stop thinking about it. Drew Brees will have an awesome year next year. He deserved this more than anybody else in the NFL did. Hopefully Curtis Painter will be on it next year. I hope you know I'm joking.
Rooney really wants to get rid of Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben is on the trading block and the Steelers want to get a top ten pick out of him. The Oakland Raiders already said 'no way' to them. Benny was officially suspended for six games of the NFL season. Great job Goodell. Now go work on a new CBA for us pretty please. At least Roger is better than Bud Selig.
Here is an interesting scenario. What if the St. Louis Rams traded the top pick in the draft for him? It would be a weird thing, but don't rule that out. The Rams don't really want that pick that much because they don't want to gamble on Sam Bradford. They know they have to pick him, but they just don't know if he's that good. Nobody in the draft wants to move up to the number one pick. The Steelers really don't want Roethlisberger and want a pick for him.
A more likely scenario is the Buffalo Bills taking him on. The number nine pick is one of the lower picks in the top ten. They would much rather have Big Ben than say, Jimmy Clausen. This is likely and if I were the Bills, I would jump and send an offer. So far Pittsburgh's pick at 18 is going to Maurkice Pouncey as far as my knowledge goes.
The Minnesota Vikings are struggling with injuries at defensive back. They signed my jersey autograph guy, Lito Sheppard. This is a good move. Lito is not what he used to be, but he definitely helps out.
Scrub defensive end Quentin Groves may stink, but he is a good locker room guy and helps out the Oakland Raiders by a lot. This goal is pending a physical, but Groves will probably pass it. The draft pick traded by the Raiders was undisclosed.
The Washington Redskins have made up their mind. For months they were expected to draft Russell Okung. Now, they will draft the offensive lineman who is widely known as the most talented but most "bust" prone. His name is Trent Williams.
