Browns fight each other after loss to Broncos..
After the Cleveland Browns tough loss last Thursday Night to the Broncos, Browns Running Back Jamal Lewis reacted angrily, saying that "Some players need to check their egos at the door." He also suggested that some of the players quit on the team. I watched the game, and that was not the case at all. Kellen Winslow had an up an down game. He scored two touchdowns and caught ten passes for 110 yards; but he also had a critical fumble and a penalty that cost the Browns dearly, and he seemed to be the person that Lewis's comments were directed to. Winslow, for his part, was contrite after the game and took the loss hard and took responsibility for his mistakes. Winslow is a player with a big ego, and he seems to have a lot of drama associated with him. Just recently, he had a staph infection, and the whole incident was a big secret until it was leaked to the media, and Winslow was suspended for a game for the way he handled it, but the Browns eventually rescinded the suspension. Certainly, a team does not need that type of drama, and it is a headache for his teammates. Nevertheless, in his defense, he did not quit in this game. He just made a couple of bad plays that nullified the good plays that he had made earlier in the game. There is a big difference between making a bad play and quitting. Jamal Lewis was wrong for his comments, and as a leader of the team he needs to handle situations in the locker room instead of the media. Crennel has his hands full with his team being 3-6 and the expectations for this season being so high, but he had one major bright spot in Brady Quinn, and hopefully he will be able to build on the positives from the game, and there were some, despite the negatives. Crennel said that he tells his team all the time that they must be a team, because a house divided cannot stand. Jamal and Kellen, are you listening?
