Paul Pierce scored twenty eight points, and he grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists in leading the Celtics to their fourteenth straight victory. Paul was a workhorse on the field, playing 43:18 minutes. Kevin Garnett had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Defending Champion Boston Celtics. Kendrick Perkins led the Celtics with 13 rebounds. David West led the Hornets with 23 points and he also snagged fourteen rebounds. Chris Paul had 20 points and 14 assists in defeat. The Celtics have the best record in basketball, and they are currently the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets record is 12-7, and they are currently seeded 5th in the Western Conference, one game behind the Houston Rockets.
