Colts defeat Chargers 23-20

The Colts defeated the San Diego Chargers 23-20 on a 51 yard field Goal by Adam Vinatieri as time expired. The Colts put their record at 7-4, and they have the tie-breaker advantage over the two other teams with the same record that are competing for the two wild card spots in the AFC. Peyton Manning was 32/44 for 255 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. Phillip Rivers was 24/31 for 288 yds, 2 TDs, and no interceptions. The Colts and Chargers exchanged field goals and touchdowns in the 1rst half to reach intermission tied. The Colts scored the next ten points to take a 20-10 lead, but the Chargers came back with 10 of their own, tying the game with 1:45 left in the game on a Nate Kaeting field goal, but they left too much time on the clock for Peyton Manning. Manning drove the team down the field and made a daring pass on fourth and inches that Manning converted to Marvin Harrison for a first down that put them in field goal range for Vinatieri's winning kick.
