Dallas Cowboys ride Marion Barber to 14-10 victory.

The Dallas Cowboys rode running back Marion Barber to a 14-10 victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football. He rushed for 114 yards on 24 carries and caught 6 passes for 39 yards. After the Cowboys had stopped the Redskins on 4th and four at the Cowboys 37 to maintain their four point advantage, Marion Barber touched the ball on the next eleven plays, ten rushes and one pass reception, and netted four first downs to run out the final 6:40 on the clock. The victory leaves the Cowboys with a 6-4 record and has them tied for second place in the NFC East with the Redskins, three games behind the Giants, who dominated the Ravens today and looked invincible. The game marked the return of Tony Romo, who completed 19 of 27 passes for 198 yards and looked sharp, despite throwing two interceptions. The Redskins started the scoring by driving 49 yards on their first possession, after they received excellent field position due to a 15 yard face mask penalty on Patrick Watkins, on 10 plays, with the drive Culminating with a 2 yard pass from Jason Campbell to Mike Sellers for a touchdown. The Cowboys tied the score at seven with 1:01 remaining in the half on a two yard Marion Barber run. The Cowboys hoped to carry momentum into halftime, but on the ensuing kickoff, Cartwright returned the ball 58 yards to the Dallas 37, and the Redskins kicked a field goal with nine seconds remaining in the half to make it 10-7 and complete their scoring for the evening. At the start of the fourth quarter, the Cowboys drove the ball 67 yards on 8 plays, taking only 4:12 off of the clock, to take the lead on a 25 yard pass from Romo to M. Bennett. The Redskins got the ball back and drove down to the Dallas 37 yard line, but when the drive stalled, the Redskins went for it on fourth and four instead of attempting a long field goal. Terrrance Newman broke up a pass intended for Santanna Moss, and the Cowboys took over on downs. The Cowboys then rode Marion Barber to victory.
