Fantasy Baseball Rankings Catcher and First Base
April 3rd 2010 16:05
OK, sorry guys. I was late on these rankings. They are pretty much spur of the moment, but it may serve as a tiebreaker in your according leagues.
Catcher
1. Joe Mauer- Amazing contact and he should hit 20 homers to add to the .325 batting average and 90 runs/RBIs
2. Brian McCann- Has the most power of any catcher in the big leagues. Expect 30 HRs and 100 RBIs with 75 BBs.
3. Victor Martinez- Is a great pure hitter at catcher. 25 HRs, 100 RBIs, and .290 BA.
4. Miguel Montero- I own him on both of my fantasy leagues, and have never brought the question of trading him. That being said, expect a nice breakout year with 20 HRs and 80 RBIs.
5. Geovany Soto- Expect him to pick up on his 08 campaign. He has lost wait. I think 25 HRs and 80 RBIs are likely.
6. Matt Wieters- Wieters should post nice numbers. I think 15 HRs, 50 BBs, 75 R/RBIs, and a .275 BA are his bottom. Oh, and throw in 10 SBs.
7. Russell Martin- He will pull through with 15 SBs/HRs, 75 RBIs, 80 Rs, and a .275 BA.
First Base
1. Miguel Cabrera- Expect 40 HRs and 120 RBIs from this masher.
2. Albert Pujols- 35 HRs, 110 RBIs, 10 SBs, .310 BA, and 90 R are expected out of the reigning two-time MVP.
3. Mark Teixeira- Tex will hit 40 HRs in New Yankee Stadium with his 120 RBI, 75 BBs, 75 Rs, and .275 BA.
4. Prince Fielder- Will bash 40 HRs, 75 BBs, and 110 RBIs.
5. Ryan Howard- Trash the K's. 40 HRs and 110 RBIs are there.
6. Kevin Youkilis- 30 HRs, 110 RBIs, 100 BBs, and a .275 BA are what you will get from the Youk.
7. Carlos Pena- 35 HRs and 110 RB Is are the numbers he will post for your fantasy team.
