Giants defeat Cardinals 37-29 to go 10-1
November 24th 2008 00:59
SportGreat's upset of the week was not to be. SportGreat should know better that to bet against the best team in the NFL. The Giants were without the leagues fourth leading rusher in Brandon Jacobs and also Wide Receiver Plaxico Buress, but they still had plenty of firepower, scoring 37 points to the Cardinals 29. The Giants, who are leading the league in rushing, only managed 87 yards rushing with Brandon Jacobs, the league's fourth leading rusher, out with a sprained knee. But Eli Manning picked up the slack by going 26/33 for 240 yards and three touchdowns. The Cardinals were not hurt much by the loss, other than their pride, because they are still four games ahead of the 49ers in the NFC West.
