The New York Jets defeated the Tennessee Titans 34-13 to hand the Titans their first defeat. The Jets dominated the game, controlling the time of possession 40:30 to 19:30. The Jets racked up 409 yards on the Titans 6th ranked defense. The Tennessee Titans could only manage 281 total yards. Brett Favre was 25/32 for 224 yards and 1 INT. The Jets also gained 192 yards on the ground, with Thomas Jones gaining 96 yards on 27 carries and Leon Washington adding 82 yards on 8 carries, rambling for a 61 yard touchdown on one of those carries.
