Lakers squeak by the Wizards 106-104.

December 6th 2008 05:26
The (16-2) LA Lakers struggled to get a victory over the (3-14) Wizards. Kobe Bryant was 13 of 14 from the line, but the one that he missed was with 10 seconds left, and it gave the Wizards a chance at victory. But teams that are (3-14) usually have difficulty capitalizing on opportunities, and this was no exception. Caron Butler took the clock down to the last few seconds and fired up a three for the victory, but the ball bounced off the front of the rim and Andray Blatche missed the tip in that would have tied it. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 23 points, and he also added seven rebounds and seven assists. Caron Butler, despite missing the game-winning shot, led the Wizards with 26 points, and he also had 9 rebounds.
