Mavericks beat Clippers 100-98.
Jose Barea sank a three point basket with under a minute left in the game to lead Dallas to a 100-98 victory over the Los Angles Clippers. The Mavericks moved above .500 with a record of 9-8, and they are currently holding the 8th playoff seed in the West. The Clippers dropped to a disastrous 3-14, and they have the second worst winning percentage in the league with a .176, bettering only Oklahoma, who has a 2-16 record and a .111 winning percentage. Despite the Clippers poor record, they had a fifteen point late in the third quarter, but Mavericks Coach Rick Carlisle went with a 3 guard lineup which included Barea, who has been getting more playing time of late, but is still 11th out of 12 players in points. He scored a season high 15 points against the Clippers. Zach Randolph led the Clippers in points with 27, and he also grabbed 10 rebounds. Al Thornton had 23 points for the Clippers and Baron Davis added 22. Marcus Camby led the Clippers with 15 rebounds.The Clippers were only able to get seven points out of their bench. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks in points with 29 and with rebounds with 10. Jason Terry also added 26 points for the Mavericks off of the bench.
