NBA Playoff Preview
April 16th 2010 13:45
I did the NHL yesterday, and I will do the NBA today. I am a pretty good basketball guy, so these predictions will be closer.
East
Bulls vs. Cavaliers
This one is not going to be close. It is obvious when you consider that arguably the best team in the NBA is taking on a .500 team that barely made it in. Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and Luol Deng win one game, but King James and his men won't be denied. 4-1 Cavs.
Bobcats vs. Magic
This will be worse. Dwight Howard is much too dominant for Tyson Chandler and the rest of Charlotte's subpar inside defense. The Magic should run this series out of the house. One man the Magic must watch out for, Gerald Wallace. 4-0 Magic.
Bucks vs. Hawks
No Andruw Bogut, no win against the deepest team in the East. People should start considering the Atlanta Hawks as a huge threat to the Cavaliers and Magic. Al Horford can play Howard's game and Josh Smith will do stuff against LBJ. 4-0 Hawks.
Heat vs. Celtics
The old Celtics must ride Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce. They will come out of this in a harrowing 6 game series. 4-2 Celtics.
West
Thunder vs. Lakers
This series will be tougher than you think. Russell Westbrook can blow by Derek Fisher any day. Kevin Durant is unstoppable, but Ron Artest may be able to somewhat tame him. The Laker's inside is great. That last sentence is why the Lakers get out of this 6 game classic. KB vs. KD. 4-2 Lakers.
Spurs vs. Mavericks
The Mavs are deep, the Spurs are hobbled. The Spurs are experienced and go deep in the playoffs, the Mavs have choked since 2006. What changes? Caron Butler and Bredan Haywood. Throw a cigar, this series will disappoint. 4-1 Mavericks.
Blazers vs. Suns
Without Brandon Roy, I really don't see the Blazers putting up enough points to keep up with Amare, J-Rich, and Nash. Bye, bye Blazers. 4-0 Suns.
Jazz vs. Nuggets
Kenyon Martin and George Karl are gone. Defensive specialist and important coach. The Jazz have the best point guard in the league. This is an All-Time great series. Watch it. 4-3 Jazz.
