NCAAB National Championships and NFL Talk

April 5th 2010 14:49
I would like to shout out to Vinh Mai. He has made a few tournament calls, like Nolan Smith, correct. Thanks for the nice talks. Now, I want to get to the preview. This is a big game. For you football fans, I've got some McNabbade that will quench your thirst.

Duke is going to win. They have dominated most of their opponents. Butler may have an answer to Jon Scheyer and Kyle Singler, but they don't for Brian Zubek. Expect the big and Nolan Smith to have good days. Look behind the stats, and focus on how they play. Coach K will take a title home, but Ralph Noren will help make it a giant effort. Butler had a great run, but the ride stops here. Now, they have a good chance of winning too, but after the WVU win I don't doubt Duke.

The Washington Redskins. The whole supposed Donovan McNabb saga was not even a saga. It didn't drag out. The Eagles traded him to a division rival, but they got a big haul in return. A second rounder from this year and a third or fourth rounder next year should fill the tank. Besides, they like Kevin Kolb more. However, I do think that D-Nabb will nab up a good year and make the Redskins respectable. McNabb is seeking revenge.

The Washington Redskins have also created much uncertainty. Jason Campbell has an increased chance of being traded. The smarter move would be to keep him as a backup and let McNabb mentor him.

The Clinton Portis situation just got worse. Not only does Mike Shanahan hate him, but they just signed former star Willie Parker. I honestly think Portis will be cut, but Clint should still find a job. I really don't like Parker, especially with that offensive line.

Ken Hamlin and Flozell Adams were both cut. Adams has been overrated his entire career, and his been worse these past two years. It was a great move. I am a fan of Hamlin's, but the 'Boys really wanted to move on. I can't blame 'em. Their new safety requirements are stricter on pass coverage, and Hamlin's coverage has leveled off.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Ahmad Brooks to a two year deal. They really like the linebacker's five forced fumbles last year. Is he good? No. Is he bad? No. Brooks helps out Patrick Willis, and is a nice pass rusher for a linebacker.

The Cleveland Browns have been busy this offseason. Stud cornerback Sheldon Brown and quality linebacker Chris Gocong were traded by the busy Eagles to the Browns. The Browns gave up two unnamed draft picks and scrubby linebacker Alex Hill. Another nice move to add good players to positions of need by the Browns.
