Cowboys lose 33-24 to close down Texas Stadium.
The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Baltimore Ravens 33-24 in the last regular season game at Texas Stadium. The Cowboys scored first on a two yard run by Tashard Choice. The Cowboys took over the ball on the four yard line after Demarcus Ware recorded his twentieth sack and caused a fumble. The Ravens came back to kick three field goals of 26, 29 and 37 yards to take a 9-7 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, the Ravens lined up for a field goal, but instead they ran a fake and were able to get a first down. Joe Flacco then threw a touchdown to Derrick Mason to put the Ravens up 16-7. The teams exchanged field goals to make the score 19-10. The Cowboys got back within two on a seven yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Terrell Owens. On the Ravens very next play, Willis McGahee broke a 77 yard run to make the score 26-17. The Cowboys rallied to score again on a 21 yard pass from Tony Romo to Jason Witten to pull to within 26-24 with 1:56 remaining in the game. Lighting struck twice, however, when LeRon McClain broke an 82 yard run on the Ravens next offensive play, which incidentally was the longest run by an opposing back in the history of Texas Stadium, to ice the game and give the Ravens a 33-24 victory.
