Rockets blow out Spurs 103-84
The Houston Rockets, the team in first place in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference, defeated the Spurs, the 2nd place team in the division, 103-84. Luther Head led the Rockets with 21 points. All of the Rockets starters scored in double figures, and they got 31 points from their bench, led by Shane Battier with 15 points. The Rockets shot 48.1% from the field. Ron Artest led the Rockets with 8 rebounds, and he scored 16 points. Tim Duncan and Matt Bonner led the Spurs with 17 points apiece. Tony Parker scored 15 points and had seven assists in his first game in the starting lineup since returning from his ankle injury.He came off of the bench in the last game. Tim Duncan led the team in rebounds with 9. The Spurs were only able to shoot 37.7% from the field. The Rockets are currently seeded 3rd in the Western Conference, behind the Lakers and the Trailblazers. The Spurs are currently seeded 8th, which is the last playoff spot.
