Tony Parker returned after missing 9 games due to a sprained ankle to help spark the Spurs to a 109-98 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Parker did not start, but he entered the game at the beginning of the 2nd Quarter and scored 15 points. Parker was 6-9 from the field and 3-5 from the free throw line. The Spurs have missed both Parker and Manu Ginobili, who returned Monday after rehabilitating from ankle surgery, for substantial parts of the season, but they are back and the Spurs were able to maintain a decent record at 9-6 while they were out, which is good for second place in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference and the 7th seed. They play the Rockets tonight, and the Rockets are a half game ahead of them at 10-6. The Spurs are currently on a four game winning streak. The Memphis Grizzlies are going in the opposite direction with a 5 game losing streak, and their record is currently 4-12, which puts them in the cellar of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference, six games behind the Rockets. O.J. Mayo led the Grizzlies with 32 points, and Rudy Gay added 26 points. All five of the Grizzly starters were in double figures, but the Grizzlies only received four points from their bench. Conversely, the Spurs received 62 points from their bench, led by Parker's fifteen.
