Stafon Johnson Dislocates Ankle

By Marshall I mean NFL superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall. He honestly said that if there was an NFL lockout, he would play basketball. Marshall did letter in basketball at high school. In the NBA, Marshall says he would like to be a shooting guard.
"My first team will be the (Denver) Nuggets and my second team will be the (Miami) Heat -- I'm serious," Marshall told ESPN. "There's not going to be any football. If there's a lockout, I have to find a job. I figure the Nuggets will be a better choice because of the welcome home cheer I'll get -- a couple of boos at first. I'm gonna get with a basketball coach and get to work, prepare for the lockout."
Brett Favre's recent visit with Dr. James Andrews will tell all. It will say whether or not the Vikings have a shot at a Super Bowl. If his ankle is good, Favre is set to play and make 20 million dollars.
JaMarcus Russell failed a drug test in 2007. He said he took codeine from a prescription from his doctor. Do I believe him? After all he has been through, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
Shawne Merriman was supposedly going to end his holdout, sign a one year tender worth 3.2 million, and report for camp. NFL Network says nothing has been resolved. I agree with the NFL Network knowing Merriman's past actions.
Stafon Johnson is one of my favorite players in the NFL. Almost everybody likes him. As most of you know, Johnson nearly died in a weight room accident when 275 pounds were dropped on his neck; crushing his larynx.
Stafon Johnson dislocated his ankle in a preseason game. He is expected to miss 8-12 weeks. That is extremely heartbreaking news. Coach Jeff Fisher is also a huge fan of the hard working back. Fisher says that Johnson's season is not over.
Nobody expected Stafon to make a comeback to the NFL after such an injury, but he worked hard and got signed by the Titans. He looked promising in the preseason game and in team workouts. Johnson's teammates were praying for him after the horrible hit made by Kam Chancellor.
The Titans were playing the Seahawks. Hawks coach Pete Carroll used to coach Johnson at USC. He came to the running back when he was injured. I hope he recovers because Johnson has been through too much in his career already.
