Here are my previews for both of these great events. I might not post as often as I would like for the upcoming time. I would like to wish everybody a happy Memorial Day!
Stanley Cup
Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks
Before the playoffs started, the EA Sports simulator had Chicago winning the cup against the Penguins. I believe Chicago will pull and win, but this time against another franchise in Pennsylvania.
Here is something to keep in mind, if the Flyers do win; this will be the greatest playoffs in history. Philly only made it in the playoffs by winning a shootout against the New York Rangers. They came down from 3-0 against the Boston Bruins. In that Game 7, they came from behind after being down 3-0 as well. It has been a remarkable run for Simon Gagne, Mike Richards, and newly found Michael Leighton.
However, Jonathan Toews has been the MVP of this playoffs. His Hawk teammate Duncan Keith Who Lost Seven Teeth, has been the second MVP. The team has many other weapons like the immortal Hossa and mischievous Kane.
Those guys will keep Chris Pronger busy, and finally show Leighton what it is like to face real scorers. Now, Jeff Carter's return to health will give the Flyers a help in winning two games; but heart cannot beat skill.
