Ted Ginn Jr. and The NFL Draft

April 18th 2010 09:09
Everybody heard about that big Brandon Marshall trade. The elite receiver made a Ginn Jr. trade even more likely. The poor receiver was already on the trade block. With Brandon Marshall, his time in South Beach was over.

The San Francisco 49ers helped their receiving problem. Ted Ginn Jr. will start alongside young phenom Michael Crabtree. Ted Ginn Jr. was horrible last year. He didn't even get 500 hundred yards of receiving. Coach Mike Singletary is very excited and is filled with false hope. Ginn has potential and he's an upgrade, however he isn't a budding star. The Niners got off a decent deal. A fifth round pick is certainly not a lot to give up.

The St. Louis Rams are going to have to draft Sam Bradford. They already released starter Marc Bulger. When you have the chance to get one of the best quarterback prospects in recent history, you can't pass it up. Number one draft picks also cost quite a bit of money to sign, and you have to give a quarterback that money. QBs are always the centerpiece of a team, and that is the most reasonable entity to shove money at. Seriously, draft Bradford unless if you want Kyle Boller to play.

Ndamukong Suh is probably the most famous player in the draft. He is a big defensive tackle with great speed an strength. That's a rare combination at that position. Imagine the Lions' defensive line with Kyle Vanden Bosch, Corey Williams, and Ndamukong Suh. That would be the best D-Line in football.

Gerald McCoy is just barely off the level of Suh. However, McCoy has incredible big-play ability. The Tampa defensive line is now horrible and run-down. McCoy and Chris Hovan could be a great tandem at DT.

Russell Okung is the top offensive line prospect. The early retirement of Chris Samuels and the releasing of Randy Thomas really hurt an already terrible offensive line. Okung will provide great protection for D-Nabb at the blindside. Casey Rabach, Derrick Dockery, and Russell Okung will finally restore respectability at the O-Line in D.C.

If coached right, Trent Williams could actually be the best offensive lineman in the draft. Branden Albert, Brian Waters, Trent Williams, and Ryan Lilja. Williams' quickness will really help the Chiefs.

This list of five players in ranking order was done by Doug Farrar. Kudos to him. I am just writing up these players' skills and ways they could help those teams.
