The Baseball Nook

It is time for a little bit of rambling about my favorite sport. By bad luck, Nook is the first name of Nook Logan. He was a bad baseball player that happened to be named on the Mitchell Report. Even steroids couldn't help him.
The worst fan comment I ever heard was a person that compared Derek Jeter to Sam Rice. Sam Rice! That is preposterous. Jeter is one of the best leaders in professional sports history and plays some pretty good darn baseball, while Rice was an above-average outfielder. Why was Rice ever inducted into the Hall of Fame? The Veteran's Committee is a big joke. 1963, ack. It should have been, as Cody from The Big Field would say, "On the twelfth of never". Nevemind Rice because they main thing is that the two are incomparable.
Fantasy Baseball is starting up, I hope you guys can get started with that. Yahoo has a great league over there, and it kicks MLB.com's butt. I will have a half-preview coming up in the near future.
Yesterday I was surprised because this website over here had a broken link, but luckily it was fixed. I really like writing about sports.
OK, back to baseball boys and girls. If there is a man more deserving of the Hall of Fame than Bert Blyleven from last year's ballot then comment here. I mean, the guy has one of the top strikeout totals of all time, and he almost won 300 games. Not to mention, he is a very cheesy self-advocate. However, being a politician does not help your HOF case. Exception to the last sentence is Jim Bunning.
A lot of people compare Mike Mussina to Jim Palmer, and I do too. Plus, look at the dang juicers that Mussina had to face. Nothing against Bonds and Sosa, insert Sarah Palin wink. That is all for now, it is a rather quick post this time porque tengo que irme. Adios chicos y chicas.
