Threat to LBJ's Legacy
May 12th 2010 15:13
I already went over why it would be stupid for LeBron James to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers. The star player is referred to as King James. He isn't royalty at all.
All his career, he has had the supporting cast behind him that compliments him perfectly. He has yet to win a championship. LeBron spends most of his time calling up CEOs and signing high school players and college kids to his company. He is in it to become a mogul.
Look James, if you want to be mentioned in the same breath as Magic, Bird, MJ, and Kobe you need to focus on the game. You have to play basketball. You have to win rings. It isn't about wanting to, it's about having to. MVPs and regular season performances are great, but you need to prove yourself in crunch time.
Learn from Kobe. After a lost Kobe doesn't blame his team all the time. He says it was his fault. He admits it. Bryant doesn't complain about injuries all the time. He plays through them. What does LeBron do about his elbow that looks like just a nick? He whines like a baby. Baby James.
LeBron James is skilled and a great basketball player, but he needs a ring. He needs it soon. The Cavaliers and Mike Brown have been holding up with his arrogance. James never listens to anyone but himself. James has not paid dividends yet. 46 years this team sits without a ring. 46 years Cleveland sits without a championship.
The Buffalo Bills signed running back Chad Simpson. He stinks. Just wanted to mention that Bills' fans. The Houston Texans signed scrub linebacker Ryan Clark. Does this have anything to do with Brian Cushing?
An interesting thing is that a handful of teams have interest in horrible quarterback JaMarcus Russell. The former number one draft pick was recently released by the Oakland Raiders. He earned 100K per completion and 5.6M per win. Wow. And he stunk too. The Cincinnati Bengals are the team with the most interest. Keep this in mind, he is just 24 so there is a slim chance for a turnaround. There are always backups in the NFL too, and that is where he belongs. Behind a guy like Carson Palmer or somebody else.
Vernon Davis finally had the huge year people predicted when he was drafted. The star tight end's rookie contract ends after this year. He is seeking a five year deal worth 40M with 25M guaranteed.
Joe Johnson is one of the best players in the game, and one of my favorites. A rumor is that he may team up with Dwayne Wade in Miami after the upcoming free agency. I would love to see that happen.
Deron Williams is holding off surgery on his right wrist. He wants to play in this year's FIBA World Championships for U.S.A. He hopes the injury will somehow heal itself.
Former Texas star Hank Blalock will use his player option to leave if the Tampa Bay Rays don't call him up from AAA soon. Call him up guys! This is a good player an a guy that is great in the clubhouse. You need his power. Right now he has a .375 batting average and his health his fine.
Josh Beckett's start on Friday is going to be pushed back. My fantasy team will now suffer thanks to him being gone. However, the good news is that there was no serious damage in his back. He hurt his back during batting practice preparing for upcoming interleague games. This is my point that the NL should have DHs. We don't need anymore pitcher injuries like these. Let hitters hit and pitchers pitch. Let them play the positions they're supposed to play. Throwing 100 pitches a night his hard enough.
