Titans prey on Lions 47-10.
The Detroit Lions were the perfect medicine to cure the Tennessee Titans ills after they lost to Brett Favre and the Jets last week. The Titans ran over the Lions, literally, in the early Thanksgiving Game. The Titans only threw the ball 19 times, completing 12, for a total of 164 yards. Vince Young, who lost his job early in the season to Kerry Collins, even got a chance to play, and he completed his only pass for 58 yards. The Titans, however, did their major damage on the ground, where they rushed the ball 46 times for an incredible 292 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an average of 6.3 yards per carry. Two Titan backs went over 100 yards. LenDale White gained 106 yards on 23 carries, and Charlie Johnson gained 127 yards on 16 carries, with two TDs, and a long of 58 yards, which went for a touchdown. The Lions, on the other hand, were pathetic, and they give credence to the people who think that the teams that always play on Thanksgiving- the Lions and the Cowboys- should be rotated. The Lions only could manage 154 yards total offense, and they were only able to get 6 first downs.
