Walter Jones

The Chicago Bears traded safety Kevin Payne. After Chicago got Chris Harris back, Payne requested a trade after realizing he wouldn't get as much playing time as he wanted. Payne went to the St.Louis Rams for an undisclosed draft pick. The pick is from 2011.
Kevin Kolb is really looking like the Eagles' quarterback of the future. The franchise gave him an extension through 2011. It is done. The great Walter Jones has retired. Twenty years from now we can tell everyone we saw Walter Jones play. The Great Walter Jones. Jones is a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer. Nobody has come anywhere close this past decade in the left tackle position.
The Washington Redskins were releasing veterans earlier this offseason. Now, they're signing some. Wide receiver Joey Galloway will join the team and will be a solid target for Donovan McNabb. The Skins also signed receiver Bobby Wade. I am not a fan of this Wade at all. He won't do much, but he still upgrades the position. The more the merrier.
Kicker Nick Novack got a one year deal with the San Diego Chargers. I can't believe I never mentioned this, but on April Fools' Day Deon Grant found a job with the New York Giants. I love that safety tandem of Grant and Antrel Rolle. That is a huge upgrade over what they had five years ago.
